Anonymous asked: Seriously. How long do you really think it takes for someone to be a genuinely GOOD animator? Not just the choppy stuff that is all over TV. I mean, Miyazaki or Disney film GOOD? I say about 5 years? What say you?
You will know when you have reached that level..it’s all about how much work you are willing to put in.

I’d say it takes years, a lifetime almost. Look at Disney’s 9 old men; they always saw themselves as students and were forever curious, learning something new everyday.

I think it goes back to the 10,000 hour rule. To become a master at something, you have to spend 10,000 toward mastering it. Calculate that out!
